Founded in 1963, we are a community of passionate aviation enthusiasts that promotes and supports recreational flying.
For those of you who weren't at the January (shame on you), and haven't heard from other sources, We have opted out of our lease for the upstairs space in the terminal building at Collegedale Airport. We've been offered space in Don Godsey's climate controlled hangar. We hope to have our first meeting there in March. Watch for more information as it becomes available.
We will tour Jay’s new hanger and Steve Michael will present a program on the Carbon Cub.
We will meet at 0900 at Jay’s Hanger where Jay’s new Carbon Cub kit will be opened and explained to the group. The Carbon Cub folks will provide refreshments. We will provide coffee (I think we have some left over from the Christmas party).
There will be no business discussed as there are time constraints. Jay has to fly out at 1030 so a tour of his new hanger and Steve’s program will be a full schedule.
There will be several Carbon Cubs flying in so leisure time on the flight line can be expected.
After the meeting everyone is invited to go to our new clubhouse and unpack boxes of tables and chairs.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, March 8, at Wilson Aviation. Join us as we learn about flying in Instrument Meteorological Conditions. You don't have to be IFR rated to benefit, anyone who thinks they might encounter IMC while flying can definitely benefit from these meetings! You can find out more about IMC Club on our where we also post information about the next meeting as soon as it becomes available (hopefully about a week before the meeting).
