Chapter 150

Rock City Wings - Chattanooga & Collegedale, TN

Founded in 1963, we are a community of passionate aviation enthusiasts that promotes and supports recreational flying.

Young Eagles Day is Scheduled! - May 5, 2018

We have scheduled our next Young Eagles Day for Saturday, May 5, at Collegedale Airport.

All kids ages 8 - 17 can get a free airplane ride (among other things).

We are doing something a little different this year.  We are going to schedule flights in advance so that we minimize how long people have to wait.  In order to make that happen we will need you to Preregister your child(ren) so that we know how many we will have.  You can preregister your child(ren) here.  If you can't make May but want them to fly in the future go ahead and preregister so that we can contact you for future events.

If you want more details about our Young Eagles program you can find them on our Young Eagles page. You can find out more about the national Young Eagles program on the EAA website.

We've Moved!

For those of you who weren't at the January (or February, or March... - shame on you!), and haven't heard from other sources, We have opted out of our lease for the upstairs space in the terminal building at Collegedale Airport.  We've been offered space in Don Godsey's climate controlled hangar.  We had our first meeting there in April and it was a great time.  Watch for more information as it becomes available.

IMC Club Meeting

Our next meeting will be at 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 12, at Wilson Aviation. Join us as we learn about flying in Instrument Meteorological Conditions. You don't have to be IFR rated to benefit, anyone who thinks they might encounter IMC while flying can definitely benefit from these meetings!

You can find out more about IMC Club on our IMC Club Page where we also post information about the next meeting as soon as it becomes available (hopefully about a week before the meeting).

Important Note
